Terms of Use
The rules that apply when you read our independent review of AvaTrade on this site.
Visit the partner brokerWhat happens when you click a link to another site?
Suppose you are reading our review of AvaTrade and you click a link that takes you to the broker's own website. You have left this site at that point. Everything you see, sign up for, or download after that click is handled by the company you are visiting, under its own terms, its own privacy policy and its own rules about accounts and money. We do not control those pages, we cannot change them, and we take no responsibility for what they say or do.
Some of the links on this site are outbound links of that kind, including links to third-party websites we do not own or operate. We may receive a payment when a reader follows certain links, and that does not change what we write. A link is not a recommendation to open an account, deposit money or trade, and it is not a promise that anything on the other end will work as you expect.
If a third-party site is unavailable, changes its offer, or handles your data in a way you do not like, that is a matter between you and that third party. Please read their terms before you give them anything.
Is any of this advice meant for you personally?
Imagine two readers in Lagos with different incomes, different experience and different reasons for looking at a broker. This site gives both of them the same page. That is the point: nothing here is personalised advice, and nothing here is tailored to your circumstances, your goals, your tax position or how much risk you can carry. It is general editorial comment about a broker, written for a general readership in Nigeria.
We are not your adviser, we do not manage money for you, and we do not hold client funds. This site does not provide financial services, does not open accounts, does not take deposits and does not place orders. Reading it does not create any advisory or fiduciary relationship between you and us.
Trading and other financial products can lose money, and past results tell you nothing certain about the future. Any decision you take after reading this site is your own, made on your own judgement or with the help of a professional you choose. If you are unsure whether something suits you, get that independent help before you act.
Who owns the names and logos?
The name AvaTrade, and any logo, brand name or product name that appears on this site, belong to its owner. We use such names only to identify the broker we are reviewing and to talk about it accurately. Their appearance here does not mean the owner sponsors this site, approves it, checks it or has any say in what we publish. Nothing on this page should be read as a claim of endorsement by any brand owner.
The text and layout of this site belong to us, and you may read and share them for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy them into another site, rebrand them or present them as your own editorial work.
If you believe a name or mark has been used here in a way that infringes your rights, use the contact form on this site and set out the details. We will look at it.
What if these terms change, or a clause does not hold up?
We may update these terms as the site, the review or the law around it develops. The version published here is the one that applies from the moment it goes up, and it replaces earlier versions. We do not promise advance notice of every edit, so please check this page when you return. If a change matters to you and you keep using the site, the new terms apply to that use.
If a clause in these terms turns out to be unenforceable, invalid or void, that clause is treated as removed to the smallest extent needed. The rest of these terms stay in force and continue to bind you and us as far as the law allows. The same applies if a clause is found to be too broad: it is read down to what is permitted rather than struck out entirely.
Questions about any of this can go through the contact form on this site.
